Syracuse Men's Crew Captain of the 2010-2011 season, Mike Gennaro, stroked the USA U23 M8+ to a gold medal finish. The USA Men's 8+ took gold in the grand final beating the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Germany, Poland and the Netherlands and in the process setting a new World U23 record time of 5:24.31.
